This is based on a written summary of the current state of research on the Roman period in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. The fundamental publications are referenced in the notes and bibliography included there. A compilation of basic literature has also been compiled for the individual locations, which provides information on the respective sites. These publications are available for inspection in the VIA VIA project libraries in Tongeren (B), Maastricht (NL) and J\u00fclich (D). Curious citizens can research more details here and pursue their own questions. The specialist library in J\u00fclich is open to all interested parties as a documentation and research centre.\r\n\r\nIn addition to specialist literature, historical editions are also available, including all prints of the Roman road map \u2018Tabula Peutingeriana\u2019 since its first printing in 1598. The Via Belgica is also marked on this map. The library also houses exhibits from the Minerva Gallery with objects from antiquity to modern times. The Roman goddess is used as a symbol in many forms as the patroness of the arts, technology, science, and education.
