Up and down through the rolling landscape \u2013 now that\u2019s a challenge! It\u2019s a landscape that hasn\u2019t changed much in two thousand years. The valleys were a bit deeper, the hills a bit higher, and here and there stood a Roman villa. The fertile loess soil was (and still is) perfect for growing grain. During this cycling tour, you will discover the Belgian municipality of Riemst, the area between Tongeren and Maastricht. Enjoy the atmosphere of rural \u2018settlements\u2019 like Millen, Genoelselderen, Herderen, Val-Meer, and Riemst itself. Along the way, you\u2019ll also taste the delicious produce that this part of Haspengouw, Belgium\u2019s fruit region, has to offer.<\/p>\n
