The municipality of Voerendaal has joined VIA VIA as a partner to highlight one of its most remarkable heritage treasures: the Roman Villa Voerendaal! This largest villa complex in the Netherlands lies today largely hidden underground and is therefore hardly accessible to the public.

The VIA VIA project offers us a unique opportunity to bring this special piece of history back to life and make it more visible, within the context of an international network of Roman heritage sites! In this way, we bring the past closer to both residents and visitors, while strengthening the cultural value of Voerendaal in the region and beyond.
