Geospatial Data Science and City Information Modeling (GeoScITY) Lab - University of Liège

The Geospatial Data Science and City Information Modeling (GeoScITY) Lab at the University of Liège explores how we can better understand and model the spaces around us. Our work combines theory and practice: from studying how we reason about space and building spatial ontologies, to applying AI methods for processing geospatial data and creating smart spatial data infrastructures.

Most of our research looks at cities and urban life—from large territories down to individual buildings—while also touching on other fields such as digital heritage. GeoScITY is part of the Geomatics Unit, and connected to UR Sphères and the Geography Department at the University of Liège.

Partners in VIA VIA

Within the VIA VIA project, our team acts as a knowledge partner by guiding the design of a Common Digital System. This system makes sure that data can be collected, managed, and shared in an efficient and interoperable way, helping everyone work together more effectively!
