Via Belgica Long-Distance Cycle Route – 59.1 km

Hop on your bike and experience Roman South Limburg on two wheels! This cycle route takes you along the Via Belgica, the ancient Roman highway from Cologne to Boulogne-sur-Mer. The exact course is still a mystery, but the Romans left plenty of traces behind. Visit the bathhouse, explore the catacombs, or taste the flavors of 2,000 years ago.

The starting point of the tour is in Riemst, Belgium, near Maastricht. The route leads east via Klimmen and Valkenburg. After nearly 60 km of cycling, you arrive at the end of the tour in Rimburg, a historic street village. Tired, but hopefully satisfied and with a completely new perspective on the region!
