Before or after the walk, settle down in the Proosdij Park with a deliciously filled picnic bag. The Via Belgica Picnic is available from €10 per person. Enjoy it on your own, with a friend, or with the whole family!

When the Romans came to South Limburg 2,000 years ago, they introduced the inhabitants of this region to all kinds of new flavours. They brought fruits such as cherries, plums, grapes, and apricots, as well as walnuts, wine, pigs, and chickens. Flavours that we still encounter daily in our kitchens today.
Just like the Roman cuisine of the past, the basis of the picnic bag is simple: pure and local.
The products are supplied by Traiteur & Delicatessen shop Madame Henriëtte and Bruncherie SillyDays.

- a baguette with ham, ham-cheese, or ‘gezond’ (cheese/ham/vegetable)
- a bottle of juice

Then expand the picnic bag with:

- Thursday to Sunday from 09:00 to 18:00
