Walk through the landscape of Bocholtz and discover the influences of its rich Roman past. Even the views were already shaped two thousand years ago. Taste Roman bread, learn about Roman architecture, and visit the site of one of the most important discoveries from Roman times.
When the Romans arrived, everything changed. This was especially true for Bocholtz, the place with the highest “villa density.” Here they built impressive country estates, introduced large-scale agriculture in this fertile landscape, brought their own religion, and buried the ashes of their dead in beautifully crafted urn chests.
