Simpelveld and Voerendaal share a two-thousand-year-old tradition. The numerous archaeological finds are simply impressive: some rank among the most important in the Netherlands and offer a unique glimpse into Roman activity in these areas. This route takes you along Roman roads and paths that were already walked over two thousand years ago by an ingenious people. The route starts from the parking area of the Miljoenenlijn in Simpelveld, between cycle junctions 88 and 89. The junction system makes it easy to find your way.
