Specialists speak about Roman villas

It is a hidden gem on YouTube: the series of videos about the Roman villas in Limburg. In seven short episodes, experts such as Jasper de Bruin (National Museum of Antiquities), Karen Jeneson (Roman Museum) and Bibi Beekman (Limburgs Museum) take you on an interesting and colourful journey.

The videos are part of the project A Roman Idyll, in which the National Museum of Antiquities, the Limburgs Museum (Venlo), the Roman Museum (Heerlen) and the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands collaborated. The exhibition Roman Villas in Limburg belonging to this project can be seen until 4 January 2026 in the pop-up Roman Museum in Heerlen, Raadhuisplein 20.
